Mary Mathis Burke, a third-generation native of Southern California, graduated from Cajon High School in San Bernardino. She began her nursing career by earning a LVN certificate from San Bernardino Valley College, followed by and Associate Degree in Registered Nursing from College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California.

She dedicated thirty years to acute care nursing, with the majority of her career spent in labor and delivery and the operating room, where she brought compassion and expertise to some of the most meaningful moments in patients’ lives.

245 Now retired, Mary cherishes time with her four children, son- and daughters-in-law, extended family and close friends. She and her husband, Bryan, recently completed an incredible eight-year adventure, traveling full-time across the western United States in their 35- foot motorhome, creating lasting memories along the way.
